my story
My name is Courteney and I am a therapeutic massage therapist and bodyworker based in East Devon.
I settled here 4 years ago, after quite a journey living in the South East, working exhaustively in the corporate world, putting faith into the wrong relationships, and as a result, watching my health and wellbeing fade. I was permanently exhausted, foggy headed, irritable, overweight and deeply unfulfilled. For a long time I felt I had no control over anything, but I wasn't prepared to accept that was my life.
Over the past 4 years, I have managed to find my way back to wellness through focusing on what (and who) is really important to me, prioritising all the good around me and making some serious lifestyle changes along the way. For me, massage was the first stepping stone of this new path, it made me aware of my body and mind, what was causing so much angst and pain, and reminded me that it feels good to LET GO.
So now, inspired by my own health journey and the many healing benefits of massage that I have experienced, I am on a mission to spread the word that massage is not just a luxury treatment. It is essential for improving wellness, reducing stress and pain. And that incorporating regular massage into your life can lead to much better health and balance.
